Abortion Safety
Checklist in Jacksonville

Emergency Pregnancy Center does not perform or refer for abortions.
If you are considering abortion, take the time to go through our checklist:

1. Confirm Your Pregnancy

Did you know that a pregnancy test alone does not medically confirm your pregnancy? Medical confirmation of pregnancy and how far along you are can be provided through an ultrasound.

2. Get Tested and Treated for STI/STDs

If you have an abortion with an untreated STI/STD, you are at increased risk for pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) which can result in future infertility or chronic pain.

3. Consider the Alternatives

In order to make a truly informed decision, it is important to consider all your options: abortion, adoption and parenting. This decision can only be made by you and you alone. Taking the time to consider each option gives you the confidence you need to make the best decision for you.

4. Pause and Ask

When faced with such an important decision it is beneficial to pause and give yourself time to address your concerns. No matter what you choose for your unexpected pregnancy, we encourage you to visit us and get answers to your questions so you can be confident in the decision you make.
