Are you surprised by your positive pregnancy test? We know an unplanned pregnancy can be overwhelming. We are here to help! Making an adoption plan is an opportunity to give your baby a positive future.

Adoption is not for everyone, but it could be the best option for you and your child’s future if you are willing to explore the possibility. Though it’s not an easy decision, adoption is one of bravery, selflessness, and hope.

Adoption plans

It’s nice to know when everything seems out of control, you have complete control over making an adoption plan. As the birth mother, you can decide what type of adoption plan you want, who the adoptive family will be, and when the adoption will occur. There are three adoption plans to choose from. No one plan is better than another. You choose the plan that’s best for you.

Closed adoption plan

A closed adoption allows you to remain completely anonymous. Your adoption coordinator will choose the family for you and the original birth certificate is sealed to protect your name and location. Some women choose this plan because they feel it will help them move on with their lives

Open and semi-open plan

Open and semi-open adoption plans are the opposite of a closed adoption plan. These plans involve exchanging personal information with the adoptive family you choose. In a completely open plan, you share full names, addresses, emails, and even phone numbers. The two parties would have direct contact with each other. Together, you would arrange meetings and communicate regularly.

In a semi-open plan, you choose the adoptive family, but share first names only. All other contact is handled through your adoption coordinator.

Choosing adoption

Adoption is emotionally hard but so is parenting or abortion. You will need a strong support group and we want to be a part of that. We’d love to talk with you about adoption and the other options for your pregnancy. We believe the more information you have, the better prepared you’ll be to make a confident empowered decision.

Making the choice to parent is as difficult as choosing adoption or abortion. Children don’t come with an instruction manual. Each child is unique. There isn’t a parent on the face of the earth that will tell you parenting is easy. No matter how much money, help, or brains you have, parenting is a challenge. It’s also incredibly rewarding.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Will my parents or partner support me if I choose to parent my child?
  • Can I count on my partner to help me?
  • What if my partner or parent(s) don’t want me to keep the baby, but I do?
  • Can I finish school or continue my career and parent?
  • How will I afford a child?
  • Where will we live?

We can answer most of these questions and give you the information and resources you need to be a great parent.

Walk-ins are welcome; however, it is best to make an appointment to minimize your office wait time, please call us at 904-308-7510, or schedule an appointment online.

Our professional medical-grade lab quality pregnancy test can determine pregnancy the first day after your first missed period. We recommend you make an appointment if you have missed a period, have any pregnancy related questions, or think you might be pregnant.
After completing paperwork, you will meet with our medical professionals to go over your information and a pregnancy test will be administered. With a positive pregnancy test result, we will then confirm a living, intrauterine pregnancy via an ultrasound.
All our services are provided free of charge.
All you need is photo ID. If receiving a pregnancy test or limited ultrasound you will need to drink plenty of water to ensure you have a full bladder.
Absolutely, you can bring your boyfriend, family member or friend. We will talk with you privately first. Then provided you have given us consent to have them in the room, your guest will be able to join you.
We adhere to a strict privacy and confidentiality policy.
